What is ISO – 9001: 2008?
ISO 9001: 2008 is the international standard that addresses the quality management system requirements that meets customer and applicable regulatory requirements and aims to enhance customer satisfaction through the effective application of the system, including processes for the continual improvement of the system and the assurance of conformity to customer and applicable regulatory requirements with the process based approach.

What is the difference between Certification and Registration?
In essence, they both have same meaning. Certification represents the issuance of certification by the registrar (auditing company) for the standard against which your company is audited. Registration means that your company is being registered and /or listed with accreditation body such as RAB –i.e. in the listing of certified companies.

What is TS –16949:2009?
It is third edition of ISO/TS-16949 cancels and replaces the second edition [ISO/TS-16949:2002] which has been technically amended according to ISO-9001:2008. ISO/TS is the technical standard that includes international automotive requirements such as ANFIA, FIEV, SMMT-UK,VDA-Germany and the car manufacturers Chrysler, Ford, GM, PSA Peugeot and Renault.
This standard is developed by IATF and copyright for it is held by all above.

What is ISO-17025?
This is a standard for those who are performing calibration services to the organizations. It is mainly geared for calibration and testing laboratories or organization. Unlike other standards, it has worldwide acceptance.

Do we have to select any particular registrar or auditing company?
No, you can select any registrars. There is a list of accredited registrars available free of charge from the RAB at 800-248-1946.

We have trained internal auditors and perform the audit on regular basis as we are certified company, why should we consider internal audits from outside organization?
You still should have your internal audit done by outside experienced auditor/consultant at least once year. We strongly recommend this based on our 40 years of experience in quality field. For more on this refer Internal Audits Link.

There are numerous consultants out there, how do we know the right one?
This is a question asked to us almost all the time! We do no not have answer in all—i.e.100% accurate, but we have an answer that is more than 98% reliable and will help you to make a right decision. Please refer our Consultant Selection link.

How do we find the right auditing company? Do you help us to find one?
There are some 65 + auditing companies (registrars). To find the right one suitable to your business needs and expectations requires some work. You may rely on our judgment based on our experience which is 90% + reliable and/or refer to Registrar Selection link.

What is a gap analysis, Pre-Assessment and Pre Audit?
Gap Analysis, Pre Assessment and Pre Audit are the same thing. This is also known as System Analysis. This is a detail and comprehensive audit of your company’s QMS (Quality Management System) per applicable standard— i.e. ISO-9001:2008, TS-16949:2009, etc. For more detail refer System Analysis link.

How do we prepare for the certification audit besides developing documentation and implementation?
You need to train and prepare ALL employees for the audit which is also known as Coaching For Registration Audit Training. We offer this training also which is a part of our ISO-9000:2008 / QS-9000 / TS-16949:2009 PREPARATION – TURNKEY PROGRAM

Can you perform registration audit?
Yes, we can, if we have not provided the consulting services for your firm. Keep in mind: A quality professional cannot perform both Consulting and Auditing (for registrars) for the company.

Can you be present during the certification audit?
In fact, this is our promise to all our clients which is not full filled by 90% +Consultants. Refer ISO-9000:2008 / QS-9000 / TS-16949:2009 PREPARATION – TURNKEY PROGRAM. Even if you are not our client, we offer this service to you on a daily rate basis. We have helped other companies in this area and have helped them pass the audit first time from the major nonconformance and failing the audit!
